Carlos Contreras, born May 25, 1944, entered into rest on October 5, 2025, at the age of 81. A man of strong Catholic faith and generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Gloria M. Contreras; children, Gloria Aguirre, Joe Contrereas and Lupe Contreras; siblings, Yvonne Garcia and Jose Ruben Contreras; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home Central, 601 S. Virginia St. Farewell goodbye will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home, followed with Funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Interment will be at Memorial Pines Cemetery for a Graveside service at 2:00 p.m. May he rest in peace, embraced by God’s everlasting love.
