Our adored Erica Portillo passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025 and is now rejoicing with our Heavenly Father, all His angels and her mother, Mary R. Aguirre. Erica devoted her life to her children and was the heart and soul for her family. She made a commitment to put her loved ones before herself and will be remembered as the hard-working mother she was. She is survived by her loving husband Charles Portillo, her father Ruben Aguirre, her two daughters Valerie Isabel Portillo and Elizabeth Addison Portillo, her brother Michael Aguirre, and her sister in law, Diana Ferron-Aguirre with their two child Brianna Aguirre and Diego Aguirre. She was blessed with a large family and friends who surrounded her with love in her final moments and showed support when she needed it most. Erica was a caring mother, supportive wife, precious daughter, and loving person to all those who she came across. We rejoice in knowing that she is resting peacefully with our Lord, and we will be reunited with her one day. Members of the family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Homes. The mass will take place on Friday. September 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church Rite of Committal will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 6:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Dr., 79935 (915) 590-8700. Funeral mass Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 8011 Williamette, 79907. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
