Evangelina Arriola, 85 years old, passed away peacefully, in the home of her loving family, on June the 3rd, 2024. 

Evangelina “Vangie” or “Ninas” to her close family and friends, was born to the late Jose and Teresa Rodriguez, on January 29th 1939, the youngest of two. She is survived by her elder sister, Maria Teresa Gallardo. Evangelina graduated from Austin High School in 1958, after which she took a few art courses in various schools, here in El Paso, as well as in Juarez. 

Evangelina was married to her husband of 56 years, Maximino Arriola, on February 16, 1968. They have two children, Daniel “Danny” or “Dan” Arriola, and Sr. Martina Marie MICM (Cynthia “Cindy” Arriola) . Evangelina was very devoted to her Catholic faith, and received the Sacraments regularly. She had a deep love of art, and drew and painted many lovely images of people, nature, and even of the Blessed Mother, and Our Lord. She loved to cook, and was a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, and friend. 

She loved all beautiful things; flowers, animals, and landscapes, which she captured in her art. Evangelina was a loving person, with a sense of humor, always trying to make her family laugh. She was a beautiful, and proper person, always caring, patient, modest, gentle, and generous to her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, husband, Max; children, Dan, and Sr Martina Marie MICM; along with daughter-in-law, Nicholla; grandchildren, Julianna, Sebastian, Peter-Damian, and Anthony; sister, Maria Teresa Gallardo; close friend, Emma Gallardo; and cousin, Rosario Corderro, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends. 

Visitation: Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at San Jose Funeral Home East-from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00pm, Funeral Mass to be held at Immaculate Conception catholic Church on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 12 noon with final resting place at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
