Guadalupe Villarreal, 83, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. She was born on February 28, 1940 in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico.

She grew up a migrant worker and lived and worked in Lindsay, California with her father and sisters. Guadalupe was married to Jesus Villarreal for 65 years.

She loved being surrounded by family and friends. She would drop whatever she was doing to bake cookies with her grandkids, take them to McDonald’s or on adventures which usually included hiking, fishing, and camping. As a mother, Guadalupe was always ready to make a favorite meal, provide a comforting tea and was always up for something new. With her husband Jesus, she enjoyed exercising, traveling, and dancing.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Traveling was Guadalupe’s passion. She loved seeing and experiencing new places. She loved visiting places with a beach or ocean as she said she always felt at peace near the water. In her last conversation with her grandkids, she mentioned how she never thought that she would have such a big and beautiful family from her first meeting with her husband.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucia and Antonio, and her sisters Amalia, Maria Luisa, Fernanda, and Lucia.

She is survived by her husband, Jesus Villarreal, her children Jesus Alfredo, Ernesto, Irene, Luis Javier, Ruben, Maria Guadalupe, and Patricia, her grandchildren Aaron, Erin, Gina, Sara, Kayla, Christopher, Michael, Amy, Diego, and Christian, and her great grandchildren Logan, Evelyn, Jocelyn and Ramiro.
