Hector, 75 of El Paso, Texas passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on July 23, 1950, to Jose and Teresa Chavez. Born in Cuidad Juarez and raised in Caseta, Mexico. At 21 years old, he married his teenage sweetheart, Loli. They established their home in Phoenix, Arizona, for 15 years before relocating to El Paso, Texas, where they raised their family and spent the remainder of his life. Hector demonstrated a strong work ethic. He was employed at a lumber company in Phoenix for ten years and continued his career in the same industry, working with O'Malley's Lumber Company in El Paso.Retiringfrom Air System Components, with a consistent dedication to providing for his family. Hector is survived by his wife, Dolores ‘Loli’; his son Hector Chavez Jr. (Lisa); daughters Monica (Gilbert); and Erica (Hector). His grandchildren are Ruben, Antonio, Diego, Marisela, and Joey. Great-grandchildren, Landon. Eric Elijah. Johnaton ‘JJ’.He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Teresa Chavez and his younger brother Hugo Chavez. Hector appreciated attending car shows, fishing, and engaging in enjoyable conversations filled with laughter and jokes. A few of his phrases were “Go home, E.T. and “Who ‘re you?”
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM, at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Drive, El Paso, Texas 79935. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church. Following the service, interment will take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
