In Loving Memory of
Hector Muñoz
We mourn the loss of Hector Munoz, who passed away on October 5, 2025. Born on January 14, 1961, he lived a life full of honor, love for family, dedication to doing the right thing. Hector is survived by his beloved wife, Ana Munoz, and his sons Hector Munoz Jr., Christian Munoz, Alexis Munoz, and step-son Hugo Garcia-Salmeron.
Hector was a man of simple pleasures and loved to indulge in his favorite foods and drinks. He had a particular affinity for tamales and eggs (made only by his wife, Ana), quesadillas with avocado and chorizo, and enjoy a shrimp cocktail with his sons. He never passed up a refreshing Iced Coke Zero...or real bottled coke when Ana wasn't looking. Ever since his kids can remember, his favorite music included the melodies of Mana, Juan Gabriel, and occasionally Ricardo Arjona. A true fan, Hector hardly missed a game of the Mexico National Soccer Team and made sure his sons knew when they were not playing like "los mejors jugadores de los 90s como el Cuactemoc y el Matador."
Among his cherished recreational activities were always improving many homes from the ground up, going cycling, and watching war movies with his sons - even at an early age. At loving hints from his wife and sons and at the behest of his doctor, Hector enjoyed the occasional walks as his favorite forms of exercise. He loved to travel and explore. It was a dream of his to explore as much of the world as possible. But more importantly, he loved doing it with his family.
Described as strict, caring, and protective, Hector always believed in the virtue of hard work. He never gave up and always reached for the top, nurturing the same values in his sons. In fact, he considered his sons to be his greatest accomplishment, manifesting his endless love and dedication as a father.
Hector leaves behind a legacy of doing what is right, specially when it's hard. This lesson will continue to inspire those that truly knew him - which were few. Hector's sudden depart from this world leaves a space that will be hard to fill. The endless memories in the minds of his loved ones will flow as a river of dreams for many years to come. He will be dearly missed by many friends and family who knew he always cared for them in his own way.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Hector's memory may contribute any amount they wish towards his family's future expenses. Contributions can be made online at the following URL: https://everloved.com/life-of….
We remember Hector Munoz, not just for the person he was, but for the morals he stood for and the lessons he taught us. He will forever be in our hearts and memories.
