Larraine Bowers-Mendoza, lovingly known as Rainey, age 63, of El Paso, passed away on February 10, 2026, in El Paso, Texas. Born on January 31, 1963, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Larraine was the beloved daughter of Raymond and Eleanor Bowers and loving wife of Jerry Mendoza.
Larraine was a graduate of Irving High School and worked at Broker’s Logistics until her illness. She found joy in diamond art and crocheting. She will be remembered most for being a devoted mother and grandmother whose love for her family was unwavering.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Eleanor Bowers; her husband, Jerry Mendoza; her father-in-law, Angel Alba; and various cousins, uncles, and aunts.
Larraine is survived by her mother-in-law, Lucy Alba; her daughters, LuCinda (Arturo) Bowers-Coronado and Marissa (Kedryn) Gordon; her beloved grandchildren, LuCinda Sophia, Eleanor Scarlett Rae, and Carter Renee; her sisters, LuCinda (Eddie) Anchondo and Karen (Hardy) Fowler; her brother, Raymond (Gloria) Bowers; brothers-in-law Raymond (Angelica) Mendoza & Timothy (Dustin) Alba-Wright; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
