Michael John Hoffman.

Michael John Hoffman Sr., 38, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on August 8, 2026. Born on December 9, 1987, Michael was raised in El Paso and was a Lower Valley kid through and through.

Michael was truly one of a kind. He was funny, goofy, hardworking, and never afraid to just be himself. He could make a joke out of just about anything and always knew how to make the people around him laugh. He was also a man of many trades. If something needed to be built, fixed, figured out, or done, Michael could usually find a way to do it.

He loved being outdoors, fishing, cooking, grilling, and especially smoking meats. More than anything, Michael loved his family. His children, nieces, and nephew meant everything to him and he was someone we could always count on to show up when we needed him the most. During some of our family’s hardest losses, Michael was there for us and became a backbone for our family.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Elena Hoffman and Raymond Fredrick Hoffman Sr., and his sister, Sally Jean Hoffman.

He is survived by his wife, Marina Olivarez; his children, Michael John Hoffman Jr., Madalynn Silva, Analia Aragón, Leila Aragón, Mia Jean Hoffman, and Marilyn Jane Hoffman; his brother, Raymond Fredrick Hoffman Jr.; his nieces, Ashley Lynn Hoffman, Carolyn Jean Hoffman, Cathryn Marie Hernandez, and Connie Rae Hernandez Hoffman; his nephew, Steven Ray Hernandez Hoffman; along with many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Michael’s humor, big personality, and love for his family will never be forgotten. We will miss his jokes, his laugh, and simply having him around. The memories and love he gave us will stay with us.
