In Loving Memory of Miguel Rodolfo Vega

We honor the life of Miguel Rodolfo Vega, 40, who passed away on December 27, 2025, at home in El Paso, Texas. Born on May 6, 1985, in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, Miguel later moved to El Paso, where he graduated from Del Valle High School in 2004. Miguel enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in February 2007, serving with distinction for over seven years. Attaining the rank of Sergeant, he served as an Aviation Supply Specialist. His service was highlighted by his bravery during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2009, and his numerous accolades stand as a lasting testament to his dedication, courage, and leadership. Beyond the uniform, Miguel was a lifelong learner. In May 2020, he reached a proud academic milestone by earning his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at the University of Texas at El Paso. His inquisitive nature also led him to a deep and thoughtful study of the Bible; he loved God and found great purpose in his faith, having been baptized in Jesus’ name in March 2020. Miguel was known for a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room and a heart that loved his family, and friends deeply. He is survived by his mother, Silvia Vega; his sister, Edith Vega; his beloved children, Rubi Vega and Aven Vega; and their mother, Nayeli Gonzalez. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gabriela Vega, and his loving grandmother, Maria Segura. We will all miss Miguel dearly as we await the day we meet once again in Jesus' loving arms.
