In Loving Memory of....
Ma Paul Joseph
Paul, was born on May 2, 1972 to Maria Aurora Flowers and Fred Welch. He grew up in El Paso, Texas alongside his siblings BobbieAnn, Veronica “Ronnie”, Andrea and Chris. He attended Irvin high school and graduated in 1992. It was during his high school years he met Keilah Marie, the mother of his two children Jacob Malik and Jordan Alexandra.
Paul, was a hard-working man who wore many hats throughout his life before discovering his true calling, he was known for his wittiness, quiet strength, and unwavering love for those around him. These qualities led him to a career as a nurse's assistant at the El Paso psychiatric center where he faithfully served for 20 years until his health declined. Paul treated his patients with dignity and compassion, always offering a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on during difficult times.
On his off time he would share his passion for music, the Green Bay Packers and his 1969 Dodge Charger. He never missed a Packers game, his energy for his beloved team filled the air every Sunday (Go Pack Go!). Once the game was over there was nothing he loved more than to sit with his family around a good meal, his music playing in the background while he made his family laugh. Cherished by all of his family and friends, especially his grandson Kendrick Malik, who Paul lovingly called Peanut. After much soul-searching Paul found peace and surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, choosing to follow in His teachings and live a life of faith.
He is preceded in death by his sister Jane Francis, his maternal grandparents Juana And Pedro Rivera, his maternal uncles and his father. He will live on through his mother, children, his grandchildren, Kendrick Malik and Elijah James, his siblings, his numerous nieces and nephews and the many lives he touched through his kindness, compassion, and love. Paul will be deeply missed, and remembered by all who knew and loved him.
