Roberto Tomas Tellez

December 21, 1936 – March 2, 2026

Roberto Tomas Tellez passed away on March 2, 2026 at the age of 89. He was born on December 21, 1936, in Vado, New Mexico.

Tommy was a proud graduate of Cathedral High School and he later attended Texas Western College, now the University of Texas at El Paso. 

He lived a life defined by dedication to his family and service to his country. Tommy honorably served in the United States Navy and went on to build a long and distinguished career at White Sands Missile Range, where he worked for 33 years before retiring. His commitment and work ethic reflected the quiet strength and integrity that characterized his life.

Tommy was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Dora Bertha Tellez, and his beloved and beautiful wife, Elvira Montes Tellez, with whom he shared 57 years of love and partnership.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Tellez; his devoted son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Nadia Tellez; and his cherished granddaughter, Hannah Tellez, who brought him immense pride and joy.

Roberto will be remembered for his strength, his dedication to family, and the life he built through hard work, service, loyalty, and love.
