In Loving memory of
Rodolfo Fernandez
With deep sorrow and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of Rodolfo Fernandez of El Paso, Texas, who entered eternal life on May 11, 2026, at the age of 79. Rodolfo was born June 14, 1946 in Durango, Durango to the union of Rodolfo Fernandez and Rosa Favela.
Rodolfo was a man of remarkable strength, dedication, and faith. From a young age, he pursued many skilled trades, including auto mechanics, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, welding, and construction. Through hard work and determination, he became a successful entrepreneur and proudly owned and operated Tio’s Truck Service. He approached every personal and business decision with prayer, always giving honor and glory to Jesus Christ for the blessings in his life. Rodolfo lived by the scripture Colossians 3:23-24: “Whatever you do work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
At age 62, Rodolfo accepted Christ and was baptized at La Primera Iglesia de Socorro by Pastor Sergio Aguilera. His faith became the foundation of his life. He devoted countless hours volunteering at Testigo Fiel y Verdadero Genesis 22:8 and studying the Word of God, worshipping with joy, and sharing the Gospel with others. Rodolfo found great comfort and happiness in praising the Lord and often requested opportunities to sing during church services. His compassionate spirit led him to work alongside pastors in distributing Bibles and uplifting those in need with messages of hope and faith.
Beyond his accomplishments, Rodolfo will be remembered most for his immense love for his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially being outdoors in the sunshine, tending to his garden, and creating lasting memories with those he held dear.
Rodolfo’s greatest wish was for his family to walk closely with the Lord and remain united in love and faith. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Manuela Fernandez; his children; Rosa Fernandez, Blanca Avelar-Fernandez, Lorena Fernandez, Rodolfo Fernandez Jr., and Araceli Jenkins-Fernandez. His grandchildren; Andrea Hernandez, Nadine Avelar, Priscilla Galarza-Arellano, Daniela Arellano, Joshua Hernandez, Rodolfo Fernandez, Samantha Martinez, Marco Martinez, Rodrigo Fernandez, Uriel Anchondo, and Savannah Jenkins. His great-grandchildren; Aiden Rappley, Shane Nunez, Brandon Garcia, Nathan Orozco, Caleb Garcia, Samuel Garcia, Mathew Hernandez and Zion Galarza. His brothers; Efrain Fernandez, Alejandro Fernandez, Uvaldo Fernandez, Miguel Fernandez, Humberto Fernandez, Ernesto Fernandez, Mario Fernandez, and Jose Fernandez.
Though our hearts are filled with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing Rodolfo’s legacy of faith, love, hard work and compassion will continue to live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever treasured by all who knew and loved him.
