Rosa Maria Apodaca passed away on Sunday February 25, 2024, at the age of 85. Rosa was born October 12, 1938, and was raised in El Paso, Texas. She was a business entrepreneur until retirement and was proud to be a part of the Jefferson High School Alumni. She often spoke of her high school years and enjoyed revisiting her past friendships as well as the memorable experiences.

Rosa was a person of many words and had the uncanny ability to make a friend out of a stranger almost instantly. Rosa loved life and led by example as she exemplified what honest hard work would get you in life. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and always held those memories close to her heart, even after she was unable to travel. 

Rosa is survived by her husband Armando of 61 years, son Richard Apodaca, daughter Audra M.Apodaca and 3 beautiful grand-daughters Shontea M. Muro, Jacqueline B. Apodaca, Alexandra B.Apodaca. Brother: Roberto Chavira, Sisters: Irma Valenzuela, Jesusita Saenz, Alice Cerros.

She is predeceased by her Father Roberto Chavira and Mother Maria R. Chavira.

Visitation for Rosa Maria Apodaca will be held at San Jose Funeral Home East (10950 Pellicano Dr.) on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm with a Rosary at 6pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church(401 Passmore Rd, El Paso, TX 79927) at 10am with final resting place at Mount Carmel Cemetery(401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907 )
