Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at San Jose Funeral Home East- 10950 Pellicano Dr. Funeral Mass will be on May 15, 2025 at 9:30 A.M. at Saint Raphael's Catholic Church, located at 2301 Zanzibar Rd. and Burial service to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 11am.

Sergio Martinez Sr., 84, was called by our heavenly father on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 with his loving wife of 54 years of marriage and four sons by his bedside. He was a lifelong resident of the El Paso community and preceded in death by his parents Guillermo Martinez Sr. and Consuelo Martinez; Guillermina Martinez (mother-in-law) and Richard A. Hernandez (brother-in-law). He was a member of the St. Raphael Catholic Church and worked at Han-D-Pac Products for over 30 years. He was a Bowie High School Graduate Class of 1960 and a
a proud Vietnam Veteran serving his country with the US Army.
Sergio is survived by his wife Rosa Martinez and sons Sergio Jr., (Ana), Michael J., Mathew Steven (Alissa), Martin Anthony (Amanda); Grandchildren, Noah Richard, Ariel Carissa, Maverick Anthony, Mina Rose. Brother, Guillermo Martinez Jr., (Elva); Nephews, Willie III, Adrian, Roman; Niece, Arianna M. Hernandez.
Sergio was a loving, hard-working man devoted to his family and work. He enjoyed watching his sons play soccer and travel. Always brightening a room with his smile and holding his grandchildren and a true-blue fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He will truly be missed by everyone whose lives he touched and impacted.
His sons and grandson will serve as pallbearers along with cousins Charlie Carlos and Frank Juarez; Willie Martinez Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearer.
