Bertha Dominguez (Hays) was born May 13,1949, passed on October 15, 2026

Bertha Dominguez (Hays), a beloved and devoted mother of three adult children; Lorraine, Lisa, and Eddie Arellano, and grandchild; Brianna A. Arellano of El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2026, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

She was born in El Paso, Texas in 1949 to parents Jose and Lorenz Dominguez. Bertha attended Bowie Hight School and later in life earning her Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Certificates then going to work at University Medical Center and retiring from there in December 2010.

Bertha took special joy in her youth making her own clothes and going out with her high school friends. Later in life she enjoyed watching western shows/movies and listening to the Oldies but Goodies on Sundays with her soulmate Ken. Bertha had fond memories of reflecting on her childhood memories and sharing them with her family.

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Hays, brother Jose Antonio “Guy” Dominguez, and parents Jose and Lorenza Dominguez, and is survived by daughters Lorraine and Lisa Arellano, son Eddie Arellano and granddaughter Brianna A. Arellano, who will never forget the love and support she brought to their lives.
