It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carmen Ruiz, 98, a beloved lifelong resident of Canutillo, TX, who departed this world peacefully on December 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving extended family in Gilbert, Arizona. Carmen was the cherished youngest daughter of Anacleto and Maria Ruiz. She is preceded in death by her devoted parents, as well as her brothers, Joaquin and Juan Ruiz, and sisters, Josefa Fierro and Juanita Vasquez.

Carmen's spirit lives on through her niece, Rosalia Simental (Frank), and her beloved great-nieces and great-nephews: Angelica Rivera, Ana Sanchez, Franky Simental, and Danny Simental. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Canutillo, where she found community and connection until she moved to Arizona at the age of 90.

To honor Carmen’s life, a Rosary and visitation will be held on Monday, 12/22 at St Patrick Catholic Church in Canutillo starting at 9:30. The Rosary will follow at 10:00a with a Funeral Mass at noon. The burial will be at Memorial Pines Cemetery following the Mass. We invite all who knew and loved Carmen to join us in celebrating her remarkable life and the love she shared with all of us.
