Cecilia Ochotorena, age 81, passed away on May 9th, 2025. She was born January 17th, 1944 to Calixto and Maria De Jesus Ochotorena in El Paso, Texas. She was preceded in death by her sister Magdalena Ruiz. She is survived by her only daughter Liza Huereque ( husband Eric Huereque Jr. ) and her grandson Jevon E. Huereque. She is also survived by her brother David Ochotorena ( wife Jennifer ), Joe Ochotorena, niece Robbi Ruiz, nephews Bobby and Sammy Ruiz, Niece Allie Toivonen ( husband Travis), and beloved cousins and friends.

Cecilia also known as Ceci, worked at UTEP for 35 years as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Union Building. She helped with the Dinner Theatre, Recreation Center, and many events that took place there. When she retired in 2002 she remained active in her community and at her church St. Rafaels Catholic Church. She was a Catholic Daughter for over 20 years and loved being a servant of God. She did a lot of traveling in the United States and different parts of the world. She always had wonderful adventures and a million stories and photos to share with her loved ones of all the amazing things she experienced in her travels. She knew no stranger and was a loving and generous Woman of God. Her faith was strong and she always trusted the Lord no matter what she faced in life with a positive attitude. We will miss her greatly, but she is with her beautiful maker now. To God be the Glory for that. The family welcomes you to her " Celebration of Life " service on Saturday, May 31st, 2025,10 am at St. Rafaels Catholic Church located at 2301 Zanzibar St., in El Paso, Texas.
