Elvira S. Silva born on January 25, 1940, in Zacatecas, Mexico, was sent to her eternal home on May 29, 2025, in El Paso, TX. She was the beloved daughter of Hilario Salazar and Carmen Luna.

Elvira was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had and the pleasure it brought to the lives of those who knew her.

Elvira is survived by her husband of 65 years, Melquiades Silva, brother Higinio Salazar, sister Guadalupe Zamilpa, son Gustavo Silva, daughters Yanina Silva Mooney, Yvette Silva Ramos, and Esther Silva Gergen and their spouses. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The funeral service to honor the life of Elvira Silva will be held on June 3rd from 10am to 1pm at San Jose Funeral Home

10950 Pellicano Dr. Mass will follow at 1:30pm at Little Flower Catholic Church.
