Funeral service will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd., 79925, on Tuesday, August 5th at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Avenue, 79906 at 2:00 p.m.

Francisco D Serna, 80, of El Paso, TX passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 31, 1945, in El Paso, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Rito and Consuelo Serna, sisters Martha Contole and Guadalupe Genera. Francisco graduated from Austin High School and went on to attend UTEP before joining the U.S. Navy to serve during the Vietnam War. He dedicated his career to civil service, retiring as Director of Finance at Ft. Bliss. He was a Den Leader/Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 192. He served as the El Paso Men’s Bowling Association President and was inducted into the El Paso Bowling Hall of Fame. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Francisco enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Maria Pilar, his three children, Jessica (Guillermo), Lynda, Frank (Brianne), his three grandchildren, Devon (Yadira), Noah, Laszlo, his great granddaughter Victoria, and his sister Grace Ramirez.
