In Loving Memory of

Genoveva Beltrán Santos

Genoveva Beltrán Santos (71) passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 26, 2025.

A loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and wife, “Beba” was born in El Paso, Texas on January 9, 1954 to Virginia and Raymundo Beltrán. She was their fourth child, and ultimately 1 of 8 siblings.

Beba graduated from Ysleta High School in 1972 and went on to attend The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences.

Following her graduation, Beba was a proud educator of over 30 years, beginning her career in the Socorro Independent School District, and retiring from the Gadsden Independent School District in 2016.

Beba was married to Alfredo Santos for 47 years and together they had one daughter, Santina Loya, whom Beba loved dearly and would do absolutely anything for. Through Santina, Beba was blessed with four grandchildren whom she adored: Enrique III, Aiden, Aiyanna, and Alfredo Loya.

Throughout her life, Beba was a fierce protector of her family and never hesitated to come to the defense of those she cared for. She was artistic, a cancer survivor, a loyal sister, and “Nana” to several God children. In her spare time, Beba enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, chatting for hours with friends, and shopping for everything and anything.

Beba is preceded in death by her parents, Raymundo and Virginia Beltrán, her older sister Macaria Beltrán, and her youngest brother, Ricardo Beltrán. She is survived by her husband Alfredo Santos, daughter Santina Loya, Son-in-Law Enrique Loya Jr., her grandchildren, and siblings Julian, Juan, Raymundo, Alfredo and Virginia Beltrán.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Beba at San Jose Funeral Home (10950 Pellicano Drive) on Wednesday October 1, 2025; visitation will be from 4:00-8:00pm, rosary will begin at 6pm. On Beba’s request, the family asks everyone who attends to please wear something colorful (no dark colors).
