Salvador Mendoza Alvidrez, 85, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, family and resilience. Born in Parral, Mexico, Salvador immigrated to El Paso, Texas at an early age where he built his life, raised his family and worked for many years at Peyton. He will forever be remembered as a loving father and grandfather, as well as a man who grew with time. Though not always the easiest person to be around, in his final year Salvador showed that it is never too late to change. His transformation was an inspiring example of grace, forgiveness and the power of love, reminding all who knew him that people can find peace at any stage of life. He was married to Martha E. Mendoza for 26 years and is survived by his 6 children; Salvador Mendoza Jr., Martha Quintana, Lourdes De La Rosa, Yolanda Torres, Jose Alfredo Mendoza and Lorena Mendoza. He was a proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 25 great-grandchildren. Among his many passions, Salvador especially enjoyed racing horses, a hobby that brought him joy and excitement throughout his life. His memory will live on through his family and the many lives he touched.
