In Loving Memory of
Jose Antonio Nazario
Jose Antonio Nazario, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026 in El Paso Texas at the age of 87.
Born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, Jose was the son of Ramon Perez Nazario and Antonia Alvelo Centeno. Jose moved to San Francisco, California, where he met and married his devoted wife, Bertha Rodriguez, and shared a life rooted in faith, family, and service. Jose's life was marked by hard work and selfless service to family, friends, neighbors, and the faith community. He served quietly and reservedly, always ready and willing to share his time, talent, and treasure.
Jose is survived by his children: Marco & Naomi, Vicente & Haydee, Miguel Angel, and Anamaria & Annette Nazario; grandchildren: Kristal, Christopher & Celina, Vicente Jr & Amber, Sara, Leonard & Sara, Rosa & Allan, Marco II & Samantha, Andrew, Hailey, Cristian, Alex and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha, grandson, Jeremiah, and great-grandson, Isaac James.
Although we are heart broken by Jose’s passing, we rejoice that he is with our Creator and above all with his cherished wife, Bertha. Jose shared that his love for Bertha after her passing was written in the ballad of “Historia de un amor” and told us to listen to the words:
“Ya no estas a mi lado corazón,
en mi alma solo tengo soledad…
Siempre fuiste la razon de mi existir
adorarte para mi fue religion…
Es la historia de un amor
como no hay otro igual
que me hizo comprender
todo el bien, toda el mal,
que le dio luz a mi vida,
apagándola despues…
sin tu amor yo moriré.
Es la historia de un amor.”
His love and devotion to Bertha and all that they accomplished throughout their lifetime will live on in all of us.
