With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maria del Carmen
Cortinas, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. She passed away
peacefully on February 4, 2026. Born in El Paso, Texas. Carmen was
the true matriarch of our family, known for her incredible strength,
unwavering faith, and the best tamales. She dedicated her life to her
children, teaching them the value of hard work, love, and tradition.
She is survived by her children, Nahum Chavira and Carlos Cortinas,
her grandchildren Ethan Chavira, Samantha Chavira, and many
extended family members who will miss her warm and bright smile.
Visitation : Monday, February 16, 2026 from 4:00p>m to 8:00 p.m
Mass : Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 10am Cristo Rey Catholic Church
