Luz Elva Galaviz

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Luz Elva Galaviz, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, “Tia’, and friend, who died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on October 2, 2026. Lucy lived a life filled with generosity and kindness.

Born October 12, 1947 in Chihuahua, MX to the late Armando Garcia and Mercedes Gonzalez. She is survived by the father of her children Luis Galaviz, children: Gerardo Galaviz, Gustavo Galaviz, Rosa Avila, Abigail Galaviz. Sisters, Gloria Garcia, Patricia Terrazas, and Jeannie Berry, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by son Luis Galaviz, Jr., brothers Luis Garcia, Hector Garcia, and Roberto Garcia.

Our Mom was our first home, our loudest cheerleader, and above all our greatest teacher. She taught us how to live with kindness and love with our whole hearts. Though we miss you deeply, your light lives on in every one of us! Eres siempre nuestra “LUZ”.
