Maria de Jesus Sanchez

Maria De Jesus Sanchez 86 years old, passed away peacefully and entered into internal rest with our Heavenly  Father on Friday, July 18, 2025. Born on June 30, 1939, to Severiano and Josefina  Hernandez , in El Paso Texas.  She lived a beautiful spiritual life, full of love, prayer, and laughter that will be forever cherished.  For 63 years, Maria shared her life with her beloved husband, Enrique Javier Sanchez,” Henry”.  She was a devoted, wife, loving, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend.  Maria along with her husband  Enrique, was the owner of Sanchez Grocery for many years. She was active and involved in her community, various churches, and parish youth groups.  Maria was the president of the Blue Army of El Paso and devoted to our Lady of Fatima the Holy Rosary, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  She was also the office secretary for Saint Ignatius Catholic Church.  Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of her surviving husband Enrique Javier Sanchez, and her children, Enrique Jr., Christina, Steven, Mark and Daughter in law Joanne, twelve grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, her two sisters surviving sisters, Manuela (Nelly) Medrano, and Juanita(Jenny) Rodriguez.  She was a fun, loving aunt to many nieces and nephews whom she adored dearly.  Maria led by example and touched the lives of many with her kindness, undying faith and her profound  love for humanity. . Her spirit though gone from this earth will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in peace…

Services for Mrs. Sanchez will be on July 30th, 2025. Visitations will take place at San Jose Funeral Home East at 10950 Pellicano Dr.  El Paso TX, 79935.  PH. 915-590-8700 with a public viewing from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M.

On July 31st, 2025, Mass Will take place at Our Lady of the Light Catholic church.  Located at 4700 Delta Dr. El Paso TX,  79905 Services will start at 11:30 A.M. with an Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery located at 5200 Fred Wilson Ave. El Paso TX, 79906.
