In Memory of ...
Maria Ines Jimenez
Maria Ines Jimenez, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted Catholic, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, in her home, surrounded by the loved ones who meant so much to her.
Maria Ines was born on January 21, 1937, in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico. She was the youngest of six kids, she had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. At the age of 17, she moved to Juarez, Chihuahua, where she worked at her brother’s bakery. She married the love of her life, Ramiro when she was 21.They were married on June 13, 1957, beginning a beautiful journey together that would span 63 years.
Their life together took them to Phoenix, Arizona, then to Woodland, California, before they returned to El Paso, Texas, in 1975. There, Ines devoted herself to her family as a loving wife and homemaker. Her home was a place of love, family, and tradition, and she took great pride in caring for those she loved.
Ines was a devout Catholic whose faith was an important part of her life. She never missed Sunday Mass and looked forward to attending Summer church bazars each year. Her faith, strength, and devotion were an inspiration to her family.
Ines was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Ramiro, and her daughter, Maria Amelia.
She leaves behind her children, Ramiro Jr., Maria De Los Angeles, Teresa, and Patricia; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory and love in their hearts for generations to come.
Ines will be remembered for her sweet but sassy nature, her strong spirit, her unwavering faith, and, most of all, the love she had for her family. She had a way of bringing warmth and personality wherever she went, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of her family.
