Robert A. Darby

June 30, 1933 - September 22, 2025

Robert Alford Darby, 92, of El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 22nd, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. 

Born on June 30th, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he was the child of Clarence Nicholas Darby and Sylvia Ellen Huff. 

Robert is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 48 years, Donalta Ann Darby, his children Sheila Elizabeth Bright (Charlie), Robert Reynolds Darby (Shera), and Phillip Andrew Darby (Andrea),and grandchildren Adam (Clark), Caitlin (Clark), Erik, Luke, and Jeffrey Bright (Sheila and Charlie), Jacob, Michael, and Daniel Darby (Robert and Shera), and Abraham (Gutierrez) (Phillip and Andrea). He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Sylvia, his sisters Patricia Ann Darby (Sanchez) and Gwendolyn Ruth Darby (Dunn), and Donna Lee Burger (spouse, mother of Sheila and Robert).

Robert’s life will honored on Friday, November 7th, with visitation starting at 11 a.m. and services at noon at San Jose Funeral Home, 10950 Pellicano Dr. 79935. Military honors will be given graveside at 1:30 p.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
