Albert Viescas

Albert M. Viescas, age 89, of El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones on September 27, 2026.

Born in July 1937 in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Albert was the son of Albert and Sara Viescas and the oldest of seven children. He was known for his kindness, generosity, Christian faith, sense of humor, strong work ethic, and, above all, the love he had for his family.

Albert spent his career as a partner of Las Cruces Brand Tortillas and then later as the owner of AMV Food Products. He took great pride in his work and in providing for and caring for his family.

Outside of work, Albert enjoyed going on pilgrimages, ministering to others, and reading the Bible. His Christian faith was an important part of his life, and he found great joy in serving others and sharing his faith through his church and ministry. Albert will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Manuela; daughters, Priscilla and Rebecca; stepchildren, Joe, Frank, Antonia, Eddie, and Daniel; siblings, Margie, Marta, Vera, Armando, Alice, and Mary; 13 grandchildren, including Dannah, his step-granddaughter, which he helped to lovingly raise; and 4 great-grandchildren. Albert was preceded in death by his son, David; daughter, Christy; and stepson, Ismael. 

A memorial service and celebration of Albert’s life will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home East, 10950 Pellicano Dr., El Paso, TX 79935.



Albert leaves behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
