Marilyn H. Ortiz passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Throughout her life, she was an exemplary daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was always a fundamental pillar of support for her family and friends. Her contagious joy will remain fondly, in the minds and hearts of all her loved ones.

Marilyn will be remembered by her loved ones for her good humor, talent for decorating and planning family events. She loved to go to her cabin in Ruidoso and drink wine.

She is survived by her husband Luis Miguel Ortiz, her sons, Morgan Lee Jeffcoat and Cameron Michael Ortiz and her grandchild Siena Jeffcoat, and her brother Jimmy Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her son Kevin Cromwell Jeffcoat and her sister Patricia Quiñones.

The family appreciates all the displays of affection and support during this difficult time.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Dr., 79935 (915) 590-8700. Memorial mass Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church, 900 W Missouri Avenue, 79902.
