Matha Perez (Vargas)

Martha Perez age 74 passed away on her favorite holiday 12/25/2024. Martha was lifelong resident of El Paso Texas and grew up in the lower valley. Martha Perez attended Cedar Grove Elementary, then procced to become an Indian at Ysleta High school she lived by the phrase once and “Indian Always an Indian.”

Martha was a loving and caring mother who had the hardest job as a stay-at-home mom. Martha was also a loving wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and above all the best grandmother in the world. Martha loved listening to music alongside her family, dancing, taking long drives and cherished every moment she spent with her loved ones. Martha’s love and faith in God was immaculate and her love for other was unconditional and passed no judgement.

Martha is proceeded in death by her mother Refugio M Perez, Her father Jose Enrique Perez, Grandmother Maria De Jesus Badillo (Carmen), Grandfather Enrique Perez, Sisters Rosa M. Vasquez, Irma Urueta, Brother Jose Enrique Perez Jr, and her nephew Robert Joseph Vasquez. Martha was survived by her husband Ruben Vargas, Daughters Martha Linda Perez (Jessica Perez), Carla Christine Gutierrez-Perez (Michael Gutierrez), grandchild Dallas Joseph Gutierrez (The king) and many beloved bonus grandchildren, Sisters Norma P. Castaneda (Juan Castaneda), Yvonne P. Castaneda (Javier Urueta). Martha also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many cousins.

Martha’s Services will be held on January 4^th at San Jose Funeral Home-East located at 10950 Pellicano Dr., El Paso, TX 79935, (915) 590-8700.
