In Loving Memory of our

Beloved

Delfina Dolores Anchondo

April 12, 1935 – Octubre 2, 2026

Delfina Dolores Anchondo went to be with our Lord on October 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving children. She was born in El Paso on April 12, 1935, to Jesus Carranza and Lucila Tarbet Robles and was the second eldest of seven children.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Ceferino “Nino” Anchondo, Jr. and their daughter, Yvonne Marie Ridenhower.

Delfina is survived by her daughter, Deborah Anchondo Schimdt, husband Oscar Bustamante. Her twin sons, Fernando Anchondo and Alfredo Anchondo, and Alfredo’s wife, Joan. Family member Franke Rae Schmidt. Delfina will be deeply missed by her family and those who knew her.

She is survived by her three grandchildren: Isaiah Andres Ridenhower, Heather Jacobs, and Cody Rae Schmidt. She is also survived by her sister, Mercy Werner, brothers Richard Carranza (Jen), and Carlos Robles, Marylou Robles (†)

Delfina loved to sew and most especially enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was known for her famous éclairs, tamale pie, chicken pie, and delicious coffee cake. Delfina’s kitchen always smelled of warmth, love and kindness.

Delfina enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially taking drives to Cloudcroft, Ruidoso, and Silver City—or, as she would say, “la Vuelta del siego.”

Delfina retired from National Restaurant Supply Company after more than thirty years. She was a dedicated employee who enjoyed helping her clients and received several awards for her outstanding work in sales. A classy and ambitious woman, she took on any challenge and accomplished more than she gave herself credit for.

Delfina was the glue that held the family together.

She was also true to her faith. We lost a loving soul, and Heaven gained a beautiful angel.

The Mass of Service will be held Nov 2nd, at 10:00 am at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, located at 10970 Bywood Dr.

El Paso, Texas 79936, 592-1313. Interment will be on Nov 3rd at 10:00 am, at Mt. Carmel 401 S. Zaragoza Rd.. El Paso, Tx 79907.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
