Memorial service for Rodolfo will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon with a service starting at 11:00 a.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Dr., 79935, (915) 590-8700. Graveside service to follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery located at 401 S Zaragoza Rd, 79907

In Loving Memory of
Rodolfo Cortez
November 2, 1940 – December 20, 2024

Rodolfo passed away on December 20, 2024, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 84. He was born on November 2, 1940, in Villa Coronado, MX, to Maria Del Jesus and Marin Cortez. Rodolfo worked on the farms as a young child, eventually moving to Ciudad Juarez, MX as a young adult. He eventually met his wife Esperanza Cortez and shared 54 years of marriage. They had 5 children and moved to El Paso, TX in 1978 where they both worked as machine operators at Levi’s Strauss and eventually retired after 25 years when the factory closed. 
Rodolfo loved returning to Villa Coronado, MX where he had land, animals and family to visit during most of his adult life.
He is survived by his daughters, Ana Castorena, Irma Saenz, Zaira Silva, sons Rodolfo and Raul Cortez, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Blanca Chavez and Alicia Astorga and brother Fernando Cortez. He is now reunited with his parents, brother, sister and wife.

In Loving Memory of our Beloved Delia Montes Delia Montes, age 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her four sons, eleven grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Delia was the heart of her family—a quiet force of love and loyalty. She was a beautiful mix of strength and softness—stern when needed, but always leading with unconditional love. Her presence was steady, her heart vast, and her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
