Emma lived a wonderful life, 94 years, she was a warrior, a kind and loving person. 

Emma took pride in her home; always keeping a tidy house. Shared this pride with her community by working a variety of hospitality jobs, she worked incredibly hard to create a better life for herself and her family. She loved how learning to drive gave her so much freedom. Her favorite outing in her 1955 Ford carrote was taking the kids to Juarez to eat and visit family, and especially shopping at the Popular, downtown store.

She would bring family and friends together so they could enjoy her incredible dishes.. All the food she made was delicious; how ever her empanadas, menudo, and tamales were favorites of her friends and family.

Every year she made sure all the children received coats or a jacket   When Emma went to the Day Care Center she took her homemade chili sauce and loved to give it to others. She attended Traditional Catholic Mass.

She also enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, embroidering, and crocheting, listening and dancing to Mexican music.

She is preceded in death by her son Mauel Viramontes, and daughter Connie Viramontes Diaz, her brothers – Jerardo Candelas, and Rosalio Garcia. She is survived by 9 grandkids, 14 great-grandkids , and 10 great, great grandkids and many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Friday, June 13, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Dr., 79935 (915) 590-8700. Funeral mass Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 673 Old Hueco Tanks Rd, 79927.
