Rose Marie "Maruqui" Gallardo

Rose Marie “Maruqui” Gallardo, age 84, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family. Maruqui was a woman whose heart knew no bounds. As a devoted housewife, she dedicated her life to creating a loving home and nurturing her family with warmth, compassion, and unwavering care. She was known for her kind and loving heart, always offering comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love to those around her.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Angel Gallardo; her cherished children, Connie Felix and Ernesto “Butch” Felix; her parents, Marcos and Consuelo Montes; her sisters, Estela Gonzalez, Lucilla Gallegos, Jenny de la Paz, and Espy Montes; and her brother, Marcos Montes. Maruqui leaves behind her loving children: Rose Marie Felix-Guerrero (Pedro), Margie Felix Flores (Oscar), George Felix, Jr. (Perla), Glora Felix (Frank), Christopher Felix (Ruth) and Irene Felix (Manny). She was also a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and a treasured great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren. She is also lovingly survived by her dear sister, Angie Lara. Though her family’s hearts are heavy with loss, they find comfort in knowing that Maruqui’s love will continue to guide them. Her life was a beautiful example of strength, grace, and selfless love, and her memory will be cherished forever. Visitation services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home East, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Christo Rey Catholic Church, followed by interment at Mr. Carmel Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Rose Marie “Maruqui” Gallardo will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of her family and friends.
