Alfredo Gonzalez

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred Gonzalez on March 24, 2025. He was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle. He is survived by his loving wife Rubie and daughter Alice (Mijita). The surviving brothers Rudy (Mary), Ralph (Carol) and sister-in-law Bobbie Mendivil and many close friends.

Alfred was a graduate from Austin High School and proudly served as a Medic and at Admin Company in the US Army. He was employed with the US Customs Service as a Senior Inspector, completing 31 years as a Civil Service employee.

Alfred was an avid golf player, enjoyed car racing and a Washington Redskins fan.

The services will be held as follows: Sunday, April 6, 2025, at San Jose Funeral Home-East 10950 Pellicano Dr. with visitation from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. following a Rosary from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. On Monday, April 7, 2025, the Funeral service will be held at Saint Raphael Catholic Church 2301 Zanzibar Rd with mass at 11:30 A.M. The burial will be at Fort Bliss Cemetery at 1:00 P.M.

The family has requested for donations to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org in lieu of flowers.
