Armida Coutee, 56, of Las Cruces, NM entered into her Kingdom of Heaven on October 14, 2024. She was joined with her brother Raul Martinez Jr, her father Raul Martinez and grandparents Osevio Martinez, Hortenica Martinez, Jose Dolores Loya and Leonora Loya.

Armida was a loving and caring woman who's passion was assisting the elderly. She began her career at Casa Del Sol when she was 19. Later, she transfered to The Arbors of Del Rey, where she spent over 10 years providing care for residents with Alzheimer's disease. She ended her career at The Aristocrat after she became ill. Armida helped many families understand their loved ones needs and coping skills when times got tough. She prepared and guided many of her residents into their eternal resting place.

>> Armida's strength and immense power of love didn't just stop at her career. Her family and friends were also blessed by her beautiful smile, humorous attitude and her listening ear. Armida was a peacemaker and everyone who knew her would receive weekly phone calls just to chat and make sure everthing was ok. She loved listening to music, dancing, watching movies and spending time with close family.


Armida's legacy lives on through her husband of 18 years Collins Coutee, her children Valerie Martinez and Bryan Martinez, and her stepson Cy Coutee. Her grandchildren Jusiah Martinez, Damien Valles, Apollo Valles and Jusindah Martinez. Her mother Martha Ceniceros, her brother and sisters Eddie Martinez, Blanca Aguirre and Ivonne Nuoffer. Her half brothers and sister Renee Martinez, Edgar Martinez and Evelyn Martinez. She will be remembered by many family members and friends in New Mexico, Texas and California
