In Loving Memory
Betty Wiggs McDaniel
July 1st, 1943- October 28th, 2025
During the afternoon of October 28th, 2025, Betty was called home by our Lord and Savior. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and was comforted by her incredible life memories. She passed away at the young age of 82. Betty was born in Denver, Colorado to Viola and James Wiggs. She moved to El Paso, Texas in 1953 and later attended Bel Air High School. She married Kenneth McDaniel in the year of 1961 and had her two children Quinn and Stacey whom she loved dearly. Betty began working as an apparel designer at Baxter in 1979 and stayed with the company for over 30 years. Betty spent her time cooking family recipes, going racing on the weekends, and was an active member in her community. She loved her bible study group and sharing the gospel, she truly never knew a stranger. Betty was an animal lover, a mystery novel reader, and her favorite time of day was soaking up the morning sunshine and looking out the kitchen window to see her quails. Betty is preceded in death by her late child Kenneth Jr., her husband Kenneth McDaniel, her son in law Jay Jonas, her parents Viola and James, and her siblings Nancy and Gordon. She is survived by her eldest sister Margie Lowenhaupt, her son Quinn McDaniel and his wife Diana McDaniel along with her daughter Stacey Jonas. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Jeremy Jonas and his wife Amber Jonas, Desirae Jonas and her husband Jorge Rubalcava, Anthony McDaniel and Sarah McDaniel. She also leaves behind her beloved cat Precious. A public memorial service will be held in her honor on (time and date) at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.
