Carlos Jara

Mr. Carlos Jara Corral, age 87, passed away on January 28, 2026, two days before his 88th birthday.

Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, Mr. Jara emigrated to the United States in the 1960s. He married Martha I. Jara (Terrazas) in 1969 and later settled in El Paso in 1975, where they raised their young family. Mr. Jara owned and operated a long-standing upholstery business in the Lower Valley for nearly four decades, working hard to provide for his family.

Mr. Jara was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years in 2023. He is survived by his four children: Martha (Raymond) Lombraña, Carlos (Christina) Jara, Sandra (Jesus) Diaz, and Jaime (Amy) Jara; as well as seven grandchildren: Dario, Idaly, Darissa, Isella, Eli, Emilia, and Max.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, at San Jose Funeral Home (10950 Pellicano), with the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. A Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. at San Rafael Church, with burial services at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
