Elia Brown

Elia Minjarez Brown, a beloved mother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026 at the age of 93 .

Elia was born on November 19, 1932 in Meoqui, Chihuahua to parents Miguel Minjarez and Elvira Corral. Elia came to the United States in 1960 and got married in 1961. She was a long life resident of El Paso.

She was a devoted and beloved mother to daughter Heidi Brown, sons Michael Brown and Ossman Brown. She survived by seven grandchildren ( Jennifer, Desiree, Derek,Steven, Ashley, Allison and Phillip) followed by 4 great grandchildren. Mother in law to Patricia Brown and Dora Brown. She was known as our “ Iron Lady “ for her strong will. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
