Felipe Antonio Pena
Felipe Pena, age 68, of Las Vegas New Mexico, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on October 15, 1957, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, Felipe lived a life defined by service, dedication, and a deep, unwavering love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He proudly served his community as a police officer, retiring with the rank of Captain after
many years of honorable service. Following his retirement from law enforcement, Felipe continued his professional journey with DISH Network, where he worked his way from security guard to facility manager. He was widely respected for his strong work ethic,
integrity, and willingness to help others. Above all else, Felipe was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. He was a steady presence—a protector, a source of wisdom, and a pillar of quiet strength for his family. As a brother, uncle, and friend, he was loyal, dependable, and always ready to lend a hand, share a story, or tell a witty joke. And, of course, don’t you dare cut his beard.
Felipe is survived by his beloved wife, Joselle Pena; his children, Chris Pena and his wife Azalea Pena, Crystal Alirez and her husband
Joseph Alirez, Eloisa Pena and her wife Brittney Pena, and Felipe Pena IV; his cherished grandchildren, Gene Pena, Leanna Lucero,
Azaryha Pena, Izaah Hansen, Joseph Alirez, Jayda Alirez, Lukas Meheut, Kendrick Robinson, Xavier Pena, Navaeh Pena and Zaniayha Pena.
his siblings, Teresita and Bernie Garcia, Paul and Sally Pena, Martha Pena, Frankie Pena and Rebecca and Neil Ortega and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him deeply.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Felipe S. Pena and Patricia V. Pena; his grandparents; and many loving family members.
Pallbearers will be Gene Pena, Lucas Meheut, Joseph Alirez , Felipe Pena, Josh Pena, and Joseph Alirez Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are Chris Lomeli and Arianna Vaughn.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 10950 Pellicano Dr., El Paso, TX 79935 at San Jose Funeral Home. From 4pm-6pm followed by a service until 8 pm. Where all family and friends will be welcome. Please join us at San Jose funeral home On February 6th at 11:00am where we will all follow dad to his final resting place at Mt. Carmel cemetery at 11:30am.
