Gloria Leticia Nakay, 73, passed away on October 23, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Lety was born on November 16, 1950 in El Paso, TX to Pedro and Ricarda Parra.

Lety was a beautiful strong-willed person. Along with her beloved husband, Roberto, she raised her family; her most treasured possession. Her passion for art and crafts made her a very creative and talented person. She was always working on an art project or making decorations for her family. She also enjoyed working at JCPenney for more than twenty years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jose Roberto Nakay, her mother Ricarda Parra and her sister Armida Castaneda. She is survived by her children Claudia Nakay, Daniel Nakay (Gabriela), and her three grandchildren, Diego and Mariana Nakay, and Emma Escarsega. Her two brothers, Pete and Sergio Parra, also survive her.

While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering. The family would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers. A special thanks to the medical professionals who were always at her care, especially her nurses Rosa, Jose, and compassionate caregivers, Maria and Ana.

Visitation for Lety will be at San Jose Funeral Home, 10950 Pellicano Dr. on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm with Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11:00 am at St Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar, followed by interment at Memorial Pines Cemetery in Sunland Park, NM.

In Loving Memory of our Beloved Delia Montes Delia Montes, age 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her four sons, eleven grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Delia was the heart of her family—a quiet force of love and loyalty. She was a beautiful mix of strength and softness—stern when needed, but always leading with unconditional love. Her presence was steady, her heart vast, and her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
