Rosa Maria Gutierrez

February 5, 1952 - April 15, 2025

Rosa Maria Gutierrez, 73, of El Paso, Texas passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025. She was born on February 5, 1952 in Torreon, Coahuila Mexico. At an early age, she relocated to Cd Juarez and then as a young adult moved to El Paso, TX where she formed a life full of love, family and faith. Rosa worked for Levis Strauss and Co. for 27 years until her retirement. She later decided to share her love of cooking through a catering business she formed with her sisters. She was a devout Catholic and was an active member of Corpus Christi Catholic Community. 

She is survived by her two sisters, Sofia Gonzalez and Alma Jarvis and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Marcos Gutierrez and Catalina Castro and her siblings Eduardo Gutierrez, Jose Gutierrez, Gonzalo Gutierrez, Socorro Gutierrez and Lilia Quinones. 

Even though, her family is deeply saddened by her departure we rejoice knowing that she is now pain free and has joined her loved ones in heaven. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary starting at 10:30 a.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Dr., 79935, (915) 590-8700. Funeral mass will be at 12:30 p.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9205 N Loop Dr, El Paso, TX 79907. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907.
