March 31, 2025

Lucille Gomez-Teran, aged 74, peacefully departed this life on March 31, 2025, surrounded by her son and siblings. She bravely battled an illness for 26 years, demonstrating remarkable resilience and strength.

Lucille was a cherished resident of the Clardy Fox area, where she attended Clardy and Henderson schools before graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 1969. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Lucille enjoyed a distinguished career as an award-winning pharmaceutical representative with Merck. She was an esteemed member of the Class of '69 Jefferson reunion and a dedicated alumna.

Lucille's passions included fashion and art, and she was a licensed cosmetologist and Texas Master Gardener. She was also known for her culinary skills and hospitality. Lucille devoted much of her time to volunteering with local non-profit organizations and was an active member of the El Paso County Democratic Party, serving as a precinct chair and elections judge. She had an extraordinary gift for fostering deep, lasting relationships.

Lucille was a loving mother to Jon, a compassionate friend, and a devoted sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Sr. and Ofelia L. Gomez, her sister Mary B. Delgado, and her brother Manny Gomez. She is survived by her beloved son Jon Patrick Teran, Jon's father Robert Teran, and her siblings: Sylvia (Mic) Saucedo, Ricardo (Laura) Gomez, Fernando (Belinda) Gomez, Lillian (Gilbert) Navarro, Christina (Manny) Alaniz, and sister-in-law Patsy Gomez. Lucille also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, her aunt Celia, and many cousins who will miss her dearly. Her beloved dogs, Ginger and Sadie, are inconsolable at the loss of their best friend.
