Beatriz B. Villalva, 94, passed away in El Paso on February 8, 2025. She will be remembered for creating a loving and lovely home, for the devoted care and encouragement she gave her husband, children, and grandchildren, and for the many delicious meals she prepared. She was elegant and yet showed great resilience in facing and overcoming life’s difficulties. Beatriz Bonilla and Luis S. Villalva were married in 1951, and they celebrated 69 years of marriage before Luis’s death in 2020. They were longtime parishioners at Our Lady of the Valley Church. In addition to her husband, Beatriz was preceded in death by her parents, Trinidad and Jose Bonilla; sisters Rafaela Garcia, Antonia Gonzalez, and Herminia Vasquez; brothers Salvador Bonilla and Jacinto Bonilla; son-in-law Randolph Muniz; and many cherished relatives and friends. She is survived by sons Luis and Javier (Vilma); daughters Graciela Muniz and Lydia (Edmundo D. Lijo); daughter-in-law Rosa Villalva; grandchildren Claudia Paredes (Cesar), Joaquin Villalva, Laura Rey (Victor), Samuel Lijo, Jaime Luis Lijo (Sydney), and Edmundo Lijo; and great-grandchildren Emma Paredes, Brooklyn Rey, and Aurelia and Ezekiel Lijo. She is also survived by her brother- and sisters-in-law, and by many nieces and nephews. The family thanks friends and family who spent time with Beatriz in recent months; nurse Bernice Amador; and care provider Nayely Arrieta. The family is especially grateful to Yolanda Marin, whose steadfast care and companionship was a great comfort to Beatriz in her final years. Family and friends may gather  on March 3, 2025 at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Drive, 79935 (915) 590-8700, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with rosary at 11:30 a.m. Mass at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 8600 Winchester Road, with burial to follow at Fort Bliss Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Avenue, 79906.
