Hilda V. Anderson

Hilda Valdivia Anderson, age 77, passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2024. She was born on August 13, 1947, in El Paso, Texas.

 She was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas. Hilda loved the sport of tennis and was an active member with the El Paso Tennis Club for 20+ years. She was a devoted fan of the UTEP Football program and held season tickets since the 1980’s. She enjoyed traveling and entertaining with friends. Hilda retired from State Farm Insurance Group in 2012 after 30 plus years of service. Most of all, Hilda adored spending time with her loved ones in celebrating holidays, birthdays and special occasions. 

 She is proceeded in death by her parents, Manuel Ortega and Jenny Ortega.

 She is survived by her children: daughter Kimberly Scott, son Gene Scott, daughter-in-law Michelle Scott, and grandchildren Stone Scott and Samantha Scott.

 Services will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at San Jose Funeral Home, 10950 Pellicano Dr., El Paso, Texas. Viewing is from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Short prayer service is from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to be made to the non-profit organization of DoAsWeDo.org. This non-profit was created for caregivers of those afflicted with dementia and held a special place in Hilda’s heart.
