Services will be held on April 10, 2024 at San Jose Funeral Home 601 S. Virginia 4pm-8pm with a rosary recitation at 6pm. The funeral mass will be at St Patric Cathedral on April 11, 2024 at 2pm.

Manuel “Manny” Calvillo, a lifelong resident of El Paso, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. Manny retired from the City of El Paso and served as the Superintendent of Senior Citizen Centers. Manny was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Yorktown during Vietnam from 1964-1967. He was a proud lifetime member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars (VFW) and served as the Post Commander of the Segura Mcdonald VFW Post #5615 and served as the VFW District Commander for El Paso. He was also a proud member of the Benvavidez Patterson All Airborne 82nd Airborne Division Association. Manny dedicated his free time volunteering with Fiesta de las Flores, Fiestas Patrias, various huacha tournaments, pool tournaments, carnivals and festivals which would benefit civic organizations. Manny is preceded in death by his son Samuel (wife Elvira), he is survived by his wife Consuelo, sons Ector and Adrian (wife Martha) and his adored grandchildren Samuel, Isaac, Christopher, Marcos and Marina. He is also survived by his brother Gilbert Calvillo and family. Services will be held on April 10, 2024 at San Jose Funeral Home 601 S. Virginia 4pm-8pm with a rosary recitation at 6pm. In Loving Memory of our Beloved Delia Montes Delia Montes, age 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her four sons, eleven grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Delia was the heart of her family—a quiet force of love and loyalty. She was a beautiful mix of strength and softness—stern when needed, but always leading with unconditional love. Her presence was steady, her heart vast, and her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
