Maria Carmen Gomez
Maria Del Carmen Puente Gómez, known as Carmen Gómez, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at the age of 79 in El Paso, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on September 17, 1946, in Ciudad Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico, Carmen was the beloved daughter of Pedro Puente and Cirila Ramirez.
She dedicated her life to her family, finding her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. Her home was always filled with warmth, kindness, and an open heart, making everyone feel welcomed and cherished.
Carmen enjoyed dancing, shopping, and relaxing with her favorite novelas. Above all, she treasured every moment spent with her family. Her love, generosity, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion created countless memories that will forever be held close by those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesus C. Gomez, and her parents, Pedro Puente and Cirila Ramirez. She is survived by her loving sons, Jesus A. Gomez and Paul Gomez; her cherished grandchildren, Kimberly A. Gomez, Amber M. Gomez, Ashley M. Gomez, and Gabriel K. Gomez; her precious great-grandchildren, Madison P. Gomez and Ezra I. Delgado; and her siblings, Maria de los Angeles Puente Gutiérrez, Ernestina Puente González, Jose Julio Puente, and Dora Elia Puente Diaz.
She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her deeply. Carmen’s legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
