Javier G. Delgado was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on 4/5/1947. He along with his brothers moved to the United States with their father at a young age. Javier attended Jefferson High School and shortly after graduating he was drafted into the US Army where he served 2 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran and although he returned from the service with much trauma, he went on to make a life with his high school sweetheart Martha. The got married on 6/13/1970 and had 3 kids, Javier Jr., Michael and Kimberly Delgado. Javier worked hard to support his family as a mechanic in Fort Bliss for over 20 years. He was an amazing father and later became an amazing grandfather to 10 grandchildren.

Javier was known as the “life of the party” in his younger years. He knew how to make people laugh and was so generous and loving to his family as well as people he met along the way. He was a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings and enjoyed football Sundays with his sons and grandsons.

Sadly, on 2/4/2024, his long-time honey Martha, entered rest. For 6 weeks Javier tried his best to continue life with his family. However the pain and heartache of losing his long-time partner became too much to bear and he became ill. On 3/19/2024 at 3:40AM he left his earthly family and joined his loving girl Martha.

Although our hearts have a bigger void, we take comfort in knowing that Javier and Martha’s hearts and souls are reunited forever. Thank you for being an amazing, kind-hearted and generous man in this lifetime! You will be greatly missed.
