Rosario was born on 12/10/1951 in Nicolas Bravo - Mexico. She was the

 2nd child of 2 to Jesus De la Cruz and Nicolasa Vasquez. Her brother and sisters: Ruben Vasquez, Pepe Gutierrez and Sandra Gutierrez-Rojo. Rosario loved being a mother, mother -in - law and a grandmother. She leaves behind her extended family: Margarita Tamayo (deceased) and children, April, Bianca, Richie (deceased), and Karla; Carlos and Rebecca Tamayo and children: Abigal, Susana, Gabriel, Riley, Benjamin and Michael; Rocio Tamayo, Robert Silva and children: Danielle, Valery, Julian and Giannis. She is preceded in death by her mother, Nicolasa Vasquez, her brother Ruben Vasquez, her sister Sandra Gutierrez-Rojo, her daughter Margarita Tamayo, grandson Richie Garcia, and great-granddaughter Kamila Juarez. Rosario Tamayo worked in the denim industry for both Wrangler and Levi-Strauss. She dedicated her life to her family and making sure we were supported in whatever we did and that we never felt anything other than love. She was a social butterfly devoted to her family and friends. She never missed a celebration. Rosario was devout Catholic and was a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She was passionate about her family. After retirement, she enjoyed long walks in the park with her children and loved dancing to her favorite music. She enjoyed looking after her grandchildren, and She was truly an amazing woman, the kindest and gentlest soul. The warmth and happiness she brought to us cannot be overstated. We love her more than words could possibly say and she will live on in our hearts forever more. Visitation will be Friday, October 4, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Dr., 79935 (915) 590-8700. Funeral service Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at San Jose Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Pines Cemetery, 3061  Sunland Park, NM, 88061.
