Salvador Sernas, 61, passed away December 5, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born on June 15, 1962, in El Paso, Texas, the son of Cesar and Lucia Sernas. Sal, also known as Shorty or Chavito, was the sixth of their ten children. He graduated from Riverside High School and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force and Army Reserve after graduation. A passionate patriot, lifelong learner and avid reader, he spent much of his life taking higher education courses and achieved various certifications. He worked in the health industry and later as an OSHA-certified construction site safety inspector. A hunter and an adventurer, he was well traveled, naturally curious, and easy going; he always had a smile and a good story to share. Everyone who knew him, loved him. Sal was preceded in death by father Cesar Sernas and sisters Mary Sernas and Yvonne Torres. He is survived by his son, Salvador Sernas Jr., his mother, Lucia Sernas, siblings (Olga Villarreal, Dora De La Rosa, Cesar Serna, Sergio Sernas, Fernando Sernas, Martha Sernas, Hector Sernas), Chumel Flores, whom he loved like a brother, and many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family.

In Loving Memory of our Beloved Delia Montes Delia Montes, age 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her four sons, eleven grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Delia was the heart of her family—a quiet force of love and loyalty. She was a beautiful mix of strength and softness—stern when needed, but always leading with unconditional love. Her presence was steady, her heart vast, and her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
